again retrograde in Mercury Is?
That feeling when the universe makes you change your programming schedule.
Hi! Doug here. A few years ago, for reasons I don’t remember, I found myself on a Citibike in Manhattan with a large, overstuffed duffel bag on my back and a slightly less overstuffed backpack on my front. As I hurtled down Lexington Avenue, I thought one of my catastrophizing thoughts: “This could really go bad if anyone shoves a broomstick into my spokes.”
This week, that broomstick happened.
It’s nothing serious, and no one’s hurt. But after the four of us hatched an elaborate, adventurous plan for the next several days, the broomstick—in the form of an anomalous migraine, a janky car battery, and the unbelievably inept stubbornness of a regional bank—sent the whole thing ass-over-teakettle.
Whether this has anything to do with Mercury’s return to retrograde today is open to debate. But Mercury is said to influence communication, information, and travel, and this week all three of those, for us anyway, took one right in the teeth. At least the four of us get to spend more time together before Magda moves east this weekend.
So! This will be our off week, and we’ll return next week with a Monday Check-In and Episode 14 of the podcast, with guest
.At least, that’s the plan.
